THE CRUEL BLOCKADE OF GAZA
Israel is supposed to be a western style liberal democracy. It is armed and funded by the United States and benefits by a web of preferential agreements with the European Union. The Jewish state gets much favoured treatment. Its murderous attack on the flotilla of people bringing humanitarian aid to the stricken beleaguered people of Gaza however show it to be anything but a western style democracy and certainly not deserving of the generous munificence which comes out of the hard earned income of western tax-payers' pockets.

ISRAEL STARTS TO DISINTEGRATE
Israel's callous massacre of the crew members of the mercy ship carrying humanitarian aid to the stricken Palestinians imprisoned, starving and dying for want of medical attention on the Gaza strip is assuredly the beginning of the end for the rogue apartheid state set up by the arrogance of a waning British Empire some sixty two years ago in 1948. It was a state that was never meant to be, instituted in terms of the mistaken interpretation of a Balfour doctrine which never envisaged the territory becoming a Jewish homeland at the expense of the indigenous Palestinians. The British Government's White Paper of 1939 was designed to rectify the injustices of the Balfour Declaration towards the indigenous Palestinians and sought to ensure that the Jewish people, who were immigrating from Eastern Europe at a rate which alarmed the native Arabs, sponsored by a mainly American Zionist Group, would never exceed one third of the population of Palestine. Alas the Pyrrhic victory which ended the second world war saw a disintegrating British Empire too weakened to control the tide of Jewish immigrants into Palestine, simultaneously saw a corrupt American Zionist Lobby gain a stranglehold on the US government which subsequently became the protector of a nascent Jewish state which in 1948, to an uproar from the civilised world, saw it declare itself the state of Israel in a country known up to then as Palestine. The descendants of a tribe of semites which had lived in the region over 2000 years earlier had pitched up to claim sovereignty in terms of Koranic fairy tales which Einstein termed childish superstitions. It was as if the Picts had turned up and reclaimed Scotland. America which up until then had been the champion of anti-colonialism performed a volte face and toyed with the merits of having a surrogate state in the oil rich Middle East and itself became a colonial power providing Israel with armaments and an annual budget of US$2 billion. Thus began the tensions stemming from the Middle East manifesting themselves in the atrocities of 9/11, 7/7 , the Iraq war which has accounted for the genocide of over a million innocent civilians and the wholesale destruction of the infrastructure of the country and the emergence of sectarianism in what was the most advanced secular society in the region, the innumerable barbarities inflicted on the innocent Palestinians by the Israeli and the trillions lost to world economies in heightened airport security which sees an ageing travelling population forced to remove their shoes, belts, braces, and hearing aids all to ensure that Israel can be secure to practise apartheid in a country stolen from the indigenous Palestinian population. Now however Israel's tyrannies have become too much for the world to bear. Vox populii has given two fingers to the governments of Obama and Britain's coalition .The people have taken up the cudgels on behalf of the beleaguered Palestinians. It is the beginning of the end for Israel, and, sadly, for the United States, which never achieved the potential it showed as a power for good under the assassinated President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The spirit of Rachel Corrie is beginning to be triumphant. Requiescat in pace.

~THE LIB DEMS WOULD BE A WELCOME CHANGE
People are tired of Gordon Brown. That is the inevitable fate of politicians. Just when they are getting good at their job people simply cant take any more of them. For the sake of the party they should step down and hand over to a carefully groomed successor but power is all corrupting and nobody wants to relinquish it. As the press stokes the fires for change Prime Ministers begin to make the wrong decisions. Their belief in their infallibility becomes entrenched. We the people want to withdraw our troops from Afghanistan. We know that our presence there radicalises the British born Muslim and creates potential for British born terrorists.Afghanistan has been a graveyard for the British Empire,The USSR and it will do the same for Obama's United States. We ignore history at our peril. We must back the Liberal Democrats' call for a total withdrawal from Afghanistan. Neither Brown nor Cameron will do it. They both backed the Iraq War which the British electorate didn't want. They ignored the biggest demonstration in the history of the United Kingdom. Two million people took to the streets to say that we did not want to go to war in Iraq. Blair, Brown and Cameron ignored us. Only the Liberal Democrats stood with us. We must now give them the power to take us out of Afghanistan. The wars have now cost a staggering £1.3 trillion, have displaced, murdered and ruined the lives of over one million innocent human beings. We can never change the world for the better if we allow anybody who brought about this situation to remain in power. Politicians must be accountable to their electorate not to their power corrupted egos. Labour and Tory Politicians who wasted our money on wars must be removed. We can vote them out. Let us put in the Lib Dems. We need a change.
